The Company was established in 1991 in Port Talbot by Jill Burgess following 21 successful years with American Express Travel, who subsequently appointed Burgess World Travel as their South West Wales Representatives.

In 1994 the company opened its Swansea agency, incorporating the American Express Foreign Exchange Bureau.

In 2000 Burgess World Travel launched its own Business Travel Department.

When Jill and Brian Burgess semi retired in July 2008, the ownership of the Company was taken over by Samantha Godfrey and Jonathan Evans. Samantha was previously the Manager of the Travel Dept, and has over 20 years experience in the industry. Jonathan was the Manager of the American Express Foreign Exchange Bureau since the Swansea agency opened in 1994 and has over 20 years experience in finance.

The Company has now launched another service by becoming members of the British Cheque Cashers Association, enabling us to encash 3rd party cheques.

Group Travel - relating to Sport, Music, Ornithological , Business, Conference and Educational Tours world wide undertaken through our Travel Management Fee Service.

Business Travel - We can assist large or small companies with Management Fee, or fixed price. A first class business service provided by dedicated account personnel.

Scheduled Flight Ticketing - issuing at source tickets for registered world airlines.
