to what could be a once in a lifetime trip for say a choir, a football
or rugby club, a school or college, women's institute or a bowls
club etc.
The ongoing argument still arises from members
when faced with final costings of a trip which has probably been
planned for two years, ' I can get it cheaper down the road' or
' I saw one on teletext half that price'. In other words there is
no guarantee that members are getting the most value for money option,
even in a competitive tendering situation.
